Who Am I?

I Am Poem
I am goofy and energetic.
I make people laugh by telling funny jokes and enjoy dancing the night away.
I am curious about my future.
I dream of having a good job and making money to help my family.
I am vroom.
I can run as quick as a car.
I am El Dorado.
I bring riches for the poor.
I am a performer.
I want to spread happiness by singing and dancing.
I am sad about losing friends.
I parted with some of them after 8th grade graduation.
I am family.
I love my family because they support me in everything I do.
I am "Strivers achieve what dreamers believe."

The 4 Elements of Hip Hop History

Jarime

Art: I like drawing because it lets me express who I am and how I feel. I’m able to color my drawings with the colors I feel best express my emotions. An artist that would represent me is Leonardo da Vinci because he puts a lot of details into his drawings.

Music: The type of music that fits my culture is old school 1990s R&B. My favorite artists are Michael Jackson, Montell Jordan, Ginuwine, and Boyz II Men. The lyrics to their music tells stories and the music is soulful. Many of their songs are about love and relationships, which is something important to me.

Dance: I relate to hip hop dance. It creates a energetic environment. In hip hop dance, you can improvise your moves to fit with the music. You can easily learn dance moves from the internet and tv shows. My favorite dance artist is Usher because he is very entertaining and inspiring.

Literature: The type of books I like to read are comic books. I like to read Marvel Comic books because the pictures describe the actions that are happening in each scene. The story is told through the characters speaking to one another. When you read a comic book, you will learn about the main character’s life story. For example, I can relate to Spiderman because life is very stressful and there are a lot of obstacles that we have to overcome in reality. Spiderman finds a way to manage his responsibilities to the city, his family, and his job.
